[Feature Request]: Deletion of a mailbox but NOT the user #5048
Description
Please confirm:
- I have searched existing feature requests (open and closed) and found no duplicates.
- **me or my organization is currently an active sponsor of the product at the $99,- level.
Problem Statement
Is it possible, to add a feature to be able to delete a mailbox but NOT the user?
Benefits for MSPs
Accounts that previously had a mailbox attached, but no longer require it are being blocked for sign-in, when enabling CIPP Standards templates, due to having an unlicensed mailbox.
Value or Importance
The alternative is to recreate the account, which creates extra workload when they are service accounts.
