This thread is being started to discuss possibilities and ideas about improving the Android UI.
I will start it off:
I was envisioning a change up to the UI to really unlock all of DevX's capabilities while playing on the Android. This would entail the following:
Enabling a digital right stick on the right side where we currently have the action buttons.
Current Actions available on the UI can continue to exist on the right side around the right stick, situated around that stick similar to how we see the potions on the left side. If we want maybe some of these could even be moved around to the left side. These would be positioned in a more symetrical fashion around the stick graphic, probably situated half way or below in regards to where we put things on the rightside to make room for my next point
Create 12 new buttons that relate to the Quick Spell configurations in padmapping. We only ever display 4 of these buttons at a time. A set of four would go across the top of the right stick similarly to where the potions are on the left side. These 4 new buttons can have quick spells assigned and will automatically behave as if governed by the QuickCast logic. When you assign a spell to this logic the button basically displays the button graphic of the spell but formatted in a way, possibly even "cut out" to display on the button (if this is possible).
Players will have the ability to "shift" between sets of 4 quick spells, maybe via arrow buttons or something that are added to the UI. This would essentially allow you to scroll between sets of 4 quick spells, that when you simpy tap the button it QuickCasts the spell
Possible extra buttons for scrolls, stave charges, and runes or someway to assign this stuff to the quick spell slots... I think Runes could be assigned to QuickSpell, or get their own button that casts them from inventory in maybe the same order Potions get cast. And maybe we just have ID/TP scroll buttons
The main concept of my idea is the shifting buttons for spell assignment that can be quick casted and access to the rightstick on the rightside
