Adding the same comment I made for the other release below here since it was ignored. I also thought of another negative with doing releases as discussions is that it really bloats the discussions area since now with two releases discussions it's 40% (2/5) of alla posts.

"The tag doesn't work on the GitHub mobile app for Android. (I think tags doesn't work at all for the mobile app on Android)

Can't you use normal built in GitHub Releases instead? The benefit of those is that it's possible to natively subscribe to notifications for just that within GitHub."

Sorry for missing your comment on the previous announcement. We've discussed internally and think creating releases is valuable. Those releases have now been created. We’ll also continue posting discussion announcements, since they’re helpful for community feedback and conversation.
