Firmware updates not showing in Home Assistant #146

The problem

I'm new to this and I cannot find the answer through documentation, web search, etc.

I created a bluetooth proxy via https://esphome.io/projects/index.html. Since updating Home Asssistant to 2025.12.0 I have a repair asking me to update my device with ESPHome 2025.11.0, but it doesn't tell me how to do that.

I know how to do it if I "control" the device via ESPHome addon, but this one was created by projects and I do not control it.

When I check the device page in Home Assistant for my bluetooth proxy it incorrectly says the firmware is up to date (Firmware: 25.8.2 (ESPHome 2025.8.2)). When I check the firmware release notes I can see that four new firmware versions have been released, but Home Assistant doesn't see them when I check for updates.

What is the proper way to update ESPHome on a device built via projects?
