Is it possible to make my own color scale gradient?

I'm a former lsd user, and it has an option that allows me control the intensity of the date color highlight by age. Eg:

date:
  hour-old: 255
  day-old: 246
  older: 8

I've found the --color-scale --color-scale-mode=gradient feature that is slightly close to it but it doesn't allow me to customize darker colors from older dates. Is it possible to achieve it in eza?
