With the introduction of
OCI imagesin Proxmox 9.1, Glance docker image can now be installed in Proxmox as such but with a workaround since there's noglance.ymlby default as ofv0.8.4. See #589.How to
CT Templatesthen follow the screenshotsI'll be using
glanceapp/glance:v0.8.4Proxmox-VEinstance, clickCreate CTGeneralTab, fill the following, customizingCT ID,HostnameandPasswordto your likingTemplatetab, select the storage where you downloaded the image then select the imageDisk,CPU,Memory,NetworkandDNScan be left default or modify however you want them. Just make sureDiskandMemoryis reasonable.nanoorviworks here)glanceand make aglance.ymlmkdir glance nano glance.yml # or viglance.ymlfile, add this:mountpointby editing theconffile of the containernano /etc/pve/lxc/1005.conf # on the screenshot, CT ID was 1005Optionsset theEntrypoint:/config-bk/is our mountpoint where the working basic config lives. Switching back and forth if something goes wrong.Caveats
1. As of Proxmox VE version 9.1.1, there is no way to easily switch thecmodeorConsole modewithout stopping/restarting the container. Making debugging and updating config harder-
console- shows the container's logs-
shell- is where you can access the contents/os of the container, likedocker exec -itpct enter 1005apk add nanoor just usevi. Personally, I'd prefer editing through acode-servervia ssh, but I haven't looked up a way to do it, installing ssh inside the container maybe?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
