probably 2 rules conflicting ?

windowrule = match:float true, \
	     border_size 3, rounding 10

windowrule = match:pin 1, \
	     border_size 10

when pinning sometimes the border_size doesn't update. It updates when hovering another window.

when unpinning damage

pin -> border_size is not updated

focus another window

focus pinned window, unpin, move cursor
