See Matt's response here https://ideas.obsproject.com/posts/2931/return-exit-button-regression-caused-by-11887 However if you explicitly want the previous close method available again for your above mentioned reasons then you can use this plugin that someone made to return the option. It was not made with explicit seriousness but merely just because. https://github.com/gxalpha/obs-exit-button/releases EDIT: The plugin dev has made an as-is release available. |

We will not be adding the exit button back, as the entire controls dock is planned to be removed. See context: #11887 |

I find the removal of the button (and apparently the dock in a future update) a major regression for accessibility and ease of use. I strongly recommend reverting the removal of the exit button and discontinuing plans to remove the dock entirely. Documentation will have to be rewritten, and locations of controls will be in flux. It will just cause confusion at this point. |

After this latest update for OSB, I immediately noticed the EXIT button normally found under the SETTINGS button was gone. Yes, clicking on the "X" in the upper-right corner of the open window does close the program. That, however, is a fairly small target to hit compared to the button and - being someone with a significant tremor - not easy on those "bad" days. This is rapidly becomming an accessibility issue in other words. I should add that I've been using OSB for more than a decade now, so I'd rate myself as experienced but not expert as I've only spent time in figuring out OSB's settings to work with my setup.
