Describe the enhancement

Support for the Waveshare 13.3inch E Ink Spectra 6 (E6)

7.3in-spectra-e6 - 7.3" Spectra E6 6-color display (800×480 pixels) is already supported, so impact seems to be limited. However, implementation is several levels above my league. The 13.3inch HAT+ has a different pin input than the 7.3inch HAT.

I have the display now working with a Raspberry Pi. If someone can assist with this request, I’d be happy to test.

Use cases

I’m already using a waveshare 13.3in-k display in a picture frame. Upgrading to color would be awesome.

The current beta has support for the Spectra E6 which should work for that display - you'll just have to configure the dimensions and pins.

Thanks for the input. Do note that the new Waveshare HAT+ requires a master and a slave CS pin. Each controls the IC for half of the screen. I guess the frame buffer has to be split and sent separately, which changes the approach a bit.

There is 13.3" display from Xiao, model NO: T133A01.

It's the cheapest display in market. It seems to be compatible with 60 pin fpc, which is not so common, but they will soon release their own esp32-s3 board for this display.
