Describe the feature
I would like the iOS/macOS app to include the name of the Home Assistant server/instance in all incoming notifications.
When a notification arrives, the app currently shows only the message, so if you have multiple Home Assistant servers (for example: main home, parents’ home, test environment…), it is impossible to know which server sent the notification.
Adding an optional prefix or suffix with the server name (or allowing this as a notification setting) would make notifications much clearer and avoid confusion.
Use cases
I use multiple Home Assistant servers for different households.
When I receive a push notification (for example: door opened, washing machine finished, alarm triggered), I cannot immediately tell from which server it came.
With the server name included in the notification, I would instantly know which home the message belongs to.
This would greatly improve clarity and help avoid mistakes when automating or responding to alerts.
Examples
Some apps include the profile/server name in each notification (for example: VPN apps, messaging apps with multiple accounts, or email clients showing which inbox the notification is from).
A similar approach in the Home Assistant iOS app would make multi-server use far easier.
Example notification format:
• [Home] Front door opened
• [Parents] Washing machine finished
• [Test Server] Automation failed
Anything else?
✅ Anything else?
• Device: iPhone (you can add your model, e.g. iPhone 15 Pro Max)
• iOS version: (add your iOS version here)
• Using multiple Home Assistant servers
• Would also be useful when using Dynamic Island and Apple Watch notifications
