Is it possible to add fields to relationship?

I have two collections: Booth and BoothExtension. They have a many-to-many relationship. I need to store additional fields—specifically minQuantityand maxQuantity—that are specific to each unique pairing of a Booth and an BoothExtension. Is this currently possible without creating an additional collection?

Why not just add it at top level of booth or booth extension ? like boothExtensionMinQuantify and boothExtensionMaxQuantify
