Description
I have the remote mentioned, and I did register some modes for it. My remote and the AC unit itself is Vortex branded, but I found it also branded as AUX online when searching for its manual. To be clear, the image of the remote in the manual is identical to the remote I have, except for the Vortex branding. Same buttons and everything.
I have created a config file for it for its basic modes of operation, but there's a lot of buttons on it. Here's the ones I didn't cover yet:
- Dust: Does absolutely nothing, it doesn't even make the AC beep
- Strong: Unsure of what it actually does beyond setting the fan speed to high
- Timer: Not sure if it's useful to or even supported by SmartIR. Sets a timer between 0.5 and 24H, with increments of 0.5H
- Fungusproof: Doesn't make my AC beep. I can't test it.
- Screen: Turns the display of the AC on or off
- Clean: Supposed to prevent mold buildup by drying the internal heat exchanger
- Sleep: Turns off the screen and lowers the noise level produced. Achieves pretty much same effect as setting the fan speed to low, and turning off the display, but it doesn't actually modify those settings. It is its own toggle.
- Feeling: It shows the current room temperature on the remote, and "sets the feeling function". Probably something to do with relative humidity, but the manual's description is otherwise useless.
- Health: Does something I guess.
If any of the above functions should be added to the JSON, please let me know.
I'll do a test of this config soon, to see if it's all registered correctly.
The AC also doesnt't support the auto fan speed in fan only mode. Can that cause issues with SmartIR?
