session-manager plugin is not working properly

Is there anything that i can do to restart the plugin? The plugin still has three tabs, but the attach to session and resurrect session tabs are empty. i am using new session to change into another session😒.

This very likely has to do with issues writing to the cache folder ($XDG_CACHE_HOME - for me it's ~/.cache). If for example the Zellij process doesn't have permissions to write there, this might happen.
