I always try to use the official methods for the most current systems, frameworks or environments.

Especaly for servers and backend stuff I always use Ubuntu becausue its basicaly the most stable industry standard for backend servers and somhow it even use less memmory than most custom builds like ArchLinux with the packages you need.
